W Feathers (right-half) 1916

When Leeds City found themselves a man short for their game with Sheffield United at Elland Road on 2 December 1916, they accepted the offer of assistance from Private W Feathers of the Royal Flying Corps. He had figured as a forward in Army football, but played right-half in a 2-0 win secured by virtue of goals from Arthur Price and Clem Stephenson.

He never figured again in senior football.
