Davison was thought to be a Newcastle United reserve who turned out for
Leeds City as a guest when centre-forward Jack Peart was unavailable,
on 22 April 1916 when the Peacocks lost 2-1 to Huddersfield Town. The
Yorkshire Post reported: 'Davidson (sic), who was deputising Peart
at centre-forward, missed two simple shots directly in front of goal.'
There is no record of his playing for Newcastle or any other side at
a senior level.
