Will
Leeds finally get back to the Premier League? - June 2019
|
||||
It's no wonder that Leeds are the bookies' favourites to gain promotion
to the Premier League at the end of the Championship. Most bookies have
the Whites available at 1/14 with West Bromwich Albion trailing behind
at 1/7. Brentford and Fulham come next at 7/4, but the Championship table
currently paints a different picture. Before you go on and place a wager
on the Whites, you should read all
the top UK bookmaker reviews here, and find the ideal bookie with
the best free bets and top odds. Not all sports books are created equal,
but read the reviews and you should find something that suits you best. Although there's still time to shake things up, Fulham and Brentford
are trailing behind Bielsa's mighty outfit headed back to the
PL. It's been a pretty long time without Premier League football
at Elland Road - this is Leeds United's 10th consecutive season
in the EFL
Championship. There's no question that the team has the quality
for that and there's no other club that deserves it more.History
hasn't been nice to Leeds United. Once a famous club struck down
by financial mismanagement, English fans have come up with the
phrase "Doing a Leeds" that perfectly describes the club's misfortune.
After a dreaded time on the outlines, though, the club seems
to be headed in the right direction. Leeds' promotion credentials are a recurring theme, but sloppy
form eventually gets in the way. The good news is that the season
has been going well so far. Bielsa's troops look set on promotion
by the end of May, yet one couldn't help but wonder if something
foils the plans. As we've seen many times before, Leeds has a
tendency of stuttering in key times and that's something that
needs to be avoided this time around. Remember - the Mighty Whites
were the best team in the Championship last season as well, but
they faltered at the end and stayed a tier lower than the PL. Fans are understandably excited about the team's chances, yet
Championship experts don't share the bookies' opinion on Leeds'
odds. Well, at least not by that much. There's still a lot of
football to be played in the division and things could change
in an instant. Fulham and Brentford are lurking right behind WBA,
and if Leeds wants that promotion, Bielsa and his players will
need to be on their best. The division is fiercely competitive
and anything can happen. If the players let their guard down for
one bit, it could all be over before they know it. If there's one man that's up to the challenge, it's Argentine
manager Marcelo Bielsa. Currently in his second season at Elland
Road, Bielsa is known for his unorthodox training methods and
always looking for 100% (or more) from his players. If Leeds wants
to get back to the Premier League, that's what it'll take. |
